3 year Clinical Research Fellowships
Two Clinical Research Fellowships will be available each year for three years. A call for applications will be advertised each year.
2011 entry
These fellowships will be for three years, leading to a PhD degree. Fellows will have an opportunity to select their projects, following a series of informal meetings with prospective supervisors before appointment.
Research training will be supplemented by a taught element covering a wide range of topics relevant to the genesis, biology, diagnosis, pathology and treatment of cancer.
There are several host laboratories for candidates to choose from, in London or Cambridge.
Appointments will be made on the clinical scale (based on current salary and experience).
Requirements:
Applicants must have full GMC registration or equivalent, possess or be eligible for a National Training Number (NTN) and a commitment to an academic career. Those with the intention to specialise in histopathology, haematopathology or clinical biochemistry are particularly encouraged.
Application procedure:
See Institute of Cancer's website for detals. Closing date 15th November 2010
